Stand-downs and suspensions
Cases per 1,000 students in 2025, adjusted for the ages of the school’s students, compared with all New Zealand schools.
Suspensions: fewer than 5 cases in 2025, so no rate is shown.
These measure how a school responds to behaviour, and schools set their own thresholds, so they are not a measure of how students behave.
What ERO found
The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from August 2025. ERO found that almost all learners meet or exceed the expected curriculum level in reading, writing and maths, with results even across groups, and that the school is meeting the government’s targets in these areas.
ERO pointed to high quality teaching, a structured approach to literacy and maths, learning that draws on mātauranga Māori and local pūrākau, and strong partnerships with parents, whānau and hapū. It also found good pastoral care for international students.
A large majority of learners attend school regularly, and the school is approaching the government’s 80% target. ERO’s priorities are to keep achievement high, stretch more students to work above the expected level, update assessment practices to match the new curriculum, and work with parents and whānau on raising regular attendance.

Enrolling
Students who live in the home zone have the right to enrol. Out-of-zone places are offered under the school’s enrolment scheme, by ballot when there are more applicants than places.
The school’s website has an online enrolment form and an in-zone form, lists the streets in its zone, and asks families to enrol as early as possible.
