Rotorua’s suburbs stretch from the lakefront and city centre out to the edges of the district’s lakes, forests and rural areas. Inner suburbs like Glenholme, Koutu and Pomare sit close to the CBD, while Ngongotahā to the north and Kawaha Point on the western shore feel quieter and more residential. Fairy Springs and Western Heights give good access to both the city and the Whakarewarewa Forest, and each suburb has its own character.
