What ERO found

The Education Review Office’s latest report on the school is a School Report from May 2025. ERO found that the school promotes students’ engagement, wellbeing and inclusion well, supports learners with complex needs, and reports usefully to parents.

Students are confident and proud of their school, leaders are working more deliberately on reading, writing and mathematics, and structured literacy and mathematics are now used in every class, with daily time set aside for each.

ERO also said the school is still working towards high levels of success for all learners: a small majority meet expected curriculum levels in reading, writing and mathematics, results are not yet equitable across groups, and while regular attendance is improving towards the Government target, chronic absence is not yet falling.

The agreed next steps are to speed up progress in reading, writing and mathematics for all learners, make expected teaching practice consistent across the school, strengthen school-wide evaluation of what is working, and lift regular attendance to meet the Government target.
